Each year, QEMS proudly supports our local foodbank. We feel that it is our duty to actively support those in need, especially within our own community.
Each year, we educate our students about homelessness and we ask that they donate at least one item of food to the Tamworth Foodbank. We collect all of the items from each form as a competition and the students are rewarded for their generosity.
This year, we would like to donate more than we ever have before and we are asking that every member of staff and student donates at least three items so that we can triple our donations and help even more families that are struggling in our local area.
Donations must be in the staff room by 3.00pm on Wednesday 19 December as our donations will be delivered to Tamworth Foodbank on Friday 21 December by our Head Students. All that we would ask is that you avoid fresh food that can go off quickly.
Last Day of Term – Friday 21 December
We are also holding a Christmas/Winter Jumper Day on Friday 21 December, in aid of Save the Children. In this new annual non-school uniform day, students will bring in a £1 donation and will be able to wear their own clothes.
Students will finish at 1.00 pm on this day.
You will find full details in the letter below.
