COVID-19 Catch-up Premium
The government has announced £1 billion of funding to support children and young people to catch up lost time after school closures during the Coronavirus pandemic. £650 million of this funding has been earmarked for a one-off catch-up premium during the 2020/21 academic year to ensure schools have the support they need to help all students make up for lost teaching time.
Pupil Premium
Pupil Premium is a fund provided by the Department for Education (DfE) for publicly funded schools in England. The fund is used to raise the attainment of disadvantaged students and close the gap between them and their peers. Funding is provided for each student registered as eligible for free school meals at any point in the last 6 years.
