Introduction
At Landau Forte Academy QEMS student outcomes are at the heart of everything we do. In order to achieve the best possible outcomes we firmly believe that assessments play a pivotal role. We have developed an assessment model we are very proud of which allows staff to identify specific knowledge that students have acquired as well as inform students of any gaps and how to improve. In order to aid students to adequately prepare for any assessments that they may have we have developed specific year group assessment calendars outlining all assessments that will take place for each of the subjects that they study for this academic year.
Years 7-9 have two specific Key assessment tasks “KATs” through the year in which all prior knowledge is assessed. Years 10-11 have two PPE (Pre-public examination) windows.
All other Key Learning tasks “KLTs” are specific to the current learning. These assessments will be used by staff to inform students of gaps in knowledge and skill in order to develop and improve.
To further support students and parents we are sharing assessment specific knowledge organisers in the subject sections below. These are a general overview of all relevant knowledge required for each of the KLTs.
We encourage all students to use this area of the website to appropriately prepare for assessments and show off the knowledge and skill that they have.
